Friends of the Beamsley Project Charitable Trust

The Friends of the Beamsley Project are a friendly group of local people who volunteer their time to help support our fundraising efforts.  They fundraise to help support our bursary.  The Beamsley Bursary allows the Beamsley Project Charitable Trust to provide support to disabled children whose families are experiencing financial challeges by funding a stay with at our holiday facilities at Bolton Abbey, near Skipton.  They also help provide the finances for new equipment.  Previously they have supported us by purchasing an additional hoist and an new profiling bed.

Its a great way to make new friends and help a small local charity that has reach across the UK.  There are many ways to get involved from baking for one of the Friends events, by organising a sponsored event or gardening etc

The Friends of the Beamsley Project meet a every couple of month and run a number events throughout the year.

Floral Crowns of Glory

We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who supported our recent Floral Crowns of Glory event at Addingham Memorial Hall. Whether you joined us on the day, donated, volunteered, or helped spread the word — your support made a real difference. A special thanks goes to the Friends of the Beamsley Project Charitable Trust, who worked tirelessly behind the scenes to organise such a beautiful and memorable event. We’re also incredibly grateful to our generous supporters including Moss & Moor, Claire and the team at Morrisons in Skipton, Addingham Memorial Hall, Betty, Ilkley Caring for Life, Horticap, Bean Loved, and Farmhouse Fayre, Skipton — along with many others who gave their time, resources, and kindness. Thanks to your generosity, we raised just short of £1,000, which will help us continue providing free places to children through our bursary scheme and improve our facilities to better support guests with additional needs.

Scroll down to enjoy a few highlights from the day — a celebration full of colour, creativity, and community spirit!
